Peace comes from within,

do not seek it without.

Do not dwell in the past,

do not dream of the future,

concentrate the mind on the present moment.

We teach a style of classical yoga that is based on the teachings of the Yoga Institute of Mumbai, India brought to us by Dr. Robert Butera, PH.D. of Pennsylvania and a traditional practice based on the teachings of Arhanta Yoga Ashram, Khajuraho, India. Classical yoga practice follows the teachings of Swami Sivananda and Swami Sri Vivekananda.
A yoga practice includes the principles of yoga, exercise, breathing, diet, relaxation and meditation. During class we play music and duration is 90 minutes. Class starts with a gentle warm up, pranayama
(breathing) and moves into deeper practice of asana’s and ends with relaxation and meditation. This is a non-competitive practice that is for both the beginner and the more experienced person. Classes are designed so that everyone can participate at any level. This style will work to help refine the body physically, and transform you emotionally and spiritually. Through relaxation and meditation we learn to connect inner stillness, our true nature, leading to inner peace. A contemplative practice connects us to our personal path of peace and leaves us with a natural sense of being genuine. Yoga is a holistic lifestyle that unites body, mind and spirit. We gain a deeper understanding of self and those around us. This is a great way to connect to your yoga community as well as self. At the heart of a traditional practice of yoga is a brilliant life accessible to everyone.
